Can you sit still for 6 hours a day? While we, as grown ups, tend to MAKE ourselves sit still for long periods of time, children have a much harder time doing so. I am requesting a set of 4 Hokki Stools to use when I pull students to a small reading group. These stools change stationary sitting into active sitting which I believe will help them focus on the task at hand. The base allows rocking, twisting and turning. Research suggests that this small amount of moving diminishes the urge to get up. In today's society where children are used to being "entertained with electronics", this small amount of movement can help the students be successful.
