My students are from a Title I school in East County San Diego. We currently offer the Project Lead the Way(PLTW) Gateway program, the Femineer program, and an after school robotics program where students are using the design process to accomplish real-world challenges. The students often use what they learn and invite new projects to the design table and ask "why not?" Anywhere from building robots, using microcontrollers and sensors, programming in C, designing functional wearable technology, our students are willing to do what it takes to acquire new technological skills. The goal is to have that gateway for the students to discover what it takes to excel in a high demanding STEM field.
