Working at a Title I school, I do not have access to the necessary tools to provide my students with the manipulatives that would significantly improve their understanding of molecules. Chemical model kits and the other supplies included will help students to learn about what matter is while learning about systems and scales. In our unit, students will be investigating what causes fires to burn and why soda water fizzes. At the same time, students will learn to use measurement tools with a curriculum that aligns with the NGSS standards. Science should be about hands-on learning, and with your help, my students will be able to play with models that will greatly enhance their understanding of concepts that the naked eye cannot see. Thank you for your time and consideration. I promise with your help, students will have a better understanding of matter. These supplies will be used all year long in every unit, to continue to investigate how atoms influence all of science!
