I teach the 6th grade science rotation at our school and excite 100 students about science every day! I am passionate about hands on science experiences where students can crunch real data...and do applied math. I attended NASA's MicroGravity University for Teachers in April and am trying to incorporate the many experiments that we did there. I am the STEAM coordinator for my school. We have a STEAM club for K-6. I am in charge of the annual science fair and STEAM Night where students come and can experience each of the modalities. They get a passport stamped as they visit each station. I am creating NASA missions where each month classes will have a mission to complete that correlates with a school wide theme. The month we study space suits, the kindergartners will create helmets out of paper bags; 4th grade will do buoyancy experiments; 6th graders will experiment with UV beads and different fabrics.
