On a regular day my classroom is filled with classes of rambunctious middle school students, that I often refer to as "my kids". These kiddos fill the desks (sometimes in very awkward positions) each day with all the energy and emotion you would expect from middle school aged students. Some of them are happy while others are grumpy, some are laughing while others are crying, some are snacking while others are hungry; but they all show up to be welcomed as my kids. We face our struggles and moments of joy together as a family.
