Reading is an essential part of an academic career, and to be successful readers, each student needs access to books that interest them. Many of the students in my classroom do not have access to books outside of the school setting, so my goal is to provide the kiddos in my class with the best possible classroom library. I want to be able to entice even my reluctant readers by giving them a wide variety of books on a plethora of subjects from which to choose. I want to build a classroom library in which there are so many exciting options my students can’t decide what they want to read first; that they are so excited about the selection of books our classroom has to offer, they go home and read each night instead of playing video games or watching television. I want my students to fall in love with reading this year!
