Giving my students the ability to exert stimulus in a manner in which it does not impact other students is not only beneficial to that individual student but to all students in the classroom. Some students need to be able to stand, rock, bounce, or even sit on the floor in order to think as critically and effectively as they can. Providing my students with tables adjusted to different heights where they are allowed to stand and move around the classroom remove the barriers of the traditional desk and chair model and will allow my students to think critically, celebrate individual diversity, and promote self-awareness.
