I work hard every day to provide a learning environment for my students that is welcoming and inviting. I want my students to feel comfortable and successful while in my class. In order to promote a "comfort" level while learning, I allow my first graders to work in a way that works for them. I have a classroom full of pillows, stools, carpets, and different styles of chairs...but a balance ball chair will make those times when we work at our seats more productive for my students. With the balance ball chairs, students can move while working at a desk without causing disruption or distraction to those around them.
