I am constantly trying new things in my classroom. I want to continue to grow as an educator so that I will also help my kindergarten students meet their full potential. Over the past year or so, I have researched how teaching primarily in small groups (vs. mainly whole group) can completely transform a classroom full of eager learners. I want to be able to focus on small group/center teaching so that my students will benefit from better differentiated instruction on a daily basis. I don't have storage to keep 30 trays (for math and ELA) so that my students can experience this type of teaching. By helping with my project, my students will be able to have a better learning experience with activities that will serve their unique learning styles and needs (including ESL). The storage shelf and trays will provide a place for all of the wonderful hands-on activities to be kept away safely. It will also help with routine, organization and structure for our daily center and small group time. Thank you for your kind consideration for my kindergarten class!
