Each day students in my classroom work in centers with their peers while I am teaching students in small groups. I would love to add a listening center to my center rotation! The benefits of a listening center in a classroom are endless! Students are given the opportunity to access literature and enjoy books. While in the listening center, students are introduced to books above their reading level and are able to hear what fluent and expressive reading sounds like. After listening to a story students can discuss the story with each other and make connections to themselves and their lives.

About my class
