Who likes to sit in a hard uncomfortable seat the entire day? A traditional desk and chair isn't one size fits all, and isn't ideal for my students who need movement to stay engaged and focused. My students LOVE working all over the classroom, and when they are comfortable, they are able to perform to the best of their ability and are more likely to engage in more challenging tasks. I want to continue to create a warm, safe environment that not only optimizes learning, but also is a place my students love returning to each day. We do already have a few alternative seating options that my students use regularly. However, we do not have enough choices for everyone to utilize at the same time. This would be a game changer for my classroom, and my students would use everything, each day. The Flex bands are a great alternative for times we have to stay in our seat, while still enabling children to get their wiggles out, without distracting themselves or others.
