All learners deserve the opportunity to see themselves in the texts they read. Within the Reading Workshop model, I strive to provide my students with a classroom library that serves as an authentic source of motivation. With your help, I can ensure students across three grade levels have access to a diverse classroom library. We are requesting books whose characters are like my students. Students will have the opportunity to embark on a journey within texts that recognize and celebrate the diversity of all learners. Not only will these texts engage readers, but they will also serve as a foundation for enriching conversations among peers. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of one another and embrace diversity.
