I teach about 160 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in Chicago, Illinois. The school that I work at is a small K-8 school with about 460 students. The school is an IB school that focuses on developing well-rounded global citizens who inquire about the world around them. By teaching them science, they learn about their place in the world and how they can influence the planet around them. I want them to be prepared to enter the world with 21st century skills so that they both have interest in and are prepared for STEAM careers and futures. My amazing students are fun-loving and enjoy learning, sometimes with a little bit of help and excitement from me.
