The demographics of the students I teach are children who come from homes in poverty. Our school's free and reduced lunch count is 99%. We are a neighborhood school that prides itself in reaching out to families and involving them in school in a variety of ways. Students in my class are usually very sensitive to their environment. My students are very active learners and attention spans are very short for a variety of reasons, however we don't say "can't" and "won't". We know given the right conditions every child can learn!
