The iPads that I am requesting will provide my students with another modality for phonemic awareness. Phonics is one of the most critical aspects of the kindergarten curriculum. I will pair the iPads with the Square Panda system to give the children essential reading skills including decoding practice and literacy application. Giving my students access to new technology will inspire them to practice their literacy skills everyday! These tools will allow the students to use kinesthetics while learning, which will make them feel like they're playing instead of gaining valuable independent instruction. Incorporating this technology into our daily routine will also increase student morale and will make them more excited to learn!
