Over the years, I've always allowed my students to work around the room. I've found some like to lay down, work with different partners and snuggle in a corner. This last year I had a group of 14 boys and 9 girls. Let's just say the energy level in my room was higher than I was used to. I had quite a few boys who prefered to stand. Next year, the ratio is similar, but with more kids.
