Providing mirror and window books to my students will allow them to feel represented and seen by others. I would love to provide students with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and heritage an opportunity to begin to learn more about themselves and others at the primary level. Through the use of window books students will travel and see the world. My students get excited and engaged when they seem themselves reflected in the pages of storybooks. Having an assortment of books of characters with different backgrounds will familiarize all students with different cultural backgrounds.
