Today's Common Core state standards require investigation, inquiry, analytical, and problem-solving skills. For young language learners, there is no better way to master these skills than with hands-on, engaging activities. Students of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds deserve equal opportunities in robotics, engineering, and science. The only way to expose them to these possible areas of study and career opportunities is in a school setting, and I am making it my priority to introduce this path to them that they may otherwise not be able to see at such a young age. I will use my classroom Ozbots to create lessons through robotics and coding that align across the curriculum with our mathematical practice standards and our Common Core state standards to benefit all learners, because they deserve nothing less than this.
