These materials will be used as read alouds for my first graders. I intend to teach lessons catering to the vast needs of my learners though the use of the books requested. These lessons include sentence composition and rearrangement, grammar instruction, word study, vocabulary acquisition, and comprehension. The books requested all align with our Georgia Standards of Excellence in the areas of Reading and Language Arts and many of them align to our Science and Social Studies standards as well. By using interesting and exciting books to help students build on these literacy skills will allow them to be better readers and understand complex texts better.

About my class
