As I mentioned above my students have difficult home lives, and with the materials I requested, my students will be able to get comfy in our classroom! Students will able to find a safe and relaxing space to complete assignments, work in groups, and learn from each other! I am requesting Active Learning Stools, Wobble Cushions, and balance discs for learners who need the opportunity to wiggle while they work! I am requesting soft seats and kneeling pads for the students who don't mind sitting still but to give them the opportunity to get in a more comfortable position! Flexible seating will allow my students to take control of their learning by learning which type of seat helps them become most successful! An important part of being a successful learner is figuring out what works for you. Having the option to sit in different places around the room, lay down, or stand will allow my students to take charge and figure out these things!
