Currently students are distracted by the noise level created by multiple students listening to instruction/text on their iPads. To create an environment that supports focused and individualized learning, my students need to have individual headphones that can be used with their iPads. Every day, students are given ebooks/ online activities to complete on their iPads. This gives them the opportunity to hear fluent reading and gain sight words as text is read in front of them. This is a crucial piece of instruction every day because many of these children are not exposed to reading at home. Last year I purchased headphones for every student from the Dollar Tree but they did not last long and then chaos resumed. That's why I love these durable headphones that can hold up and give my students the opportunity to grow!
