Students can learn a lot about themselves by taking on responsibility through growing plants. Plants represent growth, change, hard work and love. I want my classroom to see how small actions, such as watering, can create big growth (mature plants). As such, the students will be growing their own snap peas! On the first day of school, my student will design their own pot with the Blame Art Markers to grow snap peas. The students will plant the pea seeds in the pots with the potting mixture. As the pea plants grow, the students will see the life cycle of plants by measuring the plants with the rulers and taking notes in the composition notebooks. They will also gain a greater understanding of the responsibility by taking care of the plants. Over the course of the lesson, the students will learn how to take measurements and care for the plants. The goal of the project is to have each student engaged and learning!
