My students are limited in their experiences with newer technology outside of school and will benefit greatly from authentic experience with virtual reality. The experience with virtual reality would bring to life students' 3D environment creations and motivate students to aspire to higher education and career goals. Making the learning environment an engaging and memorable place is pivotal to encouraging higher goals of lower-income students with limited experiences. The Vive technology is cutting edge and works seamlessly with free software, like Unity, where students can design original environments - from buildings and art to gaming environments and simulations. Students given the chance to use this technology will be able to embrace the future. Encouraging bright young minds that have an affinity for creative design and computers is essential. My dream is to foster the best candidates for higher education in computer science and design. An engaging classroom and a lesson set based on the Virtual Reality component will help me achieve my goal!
