All scholars should have the chance to be a STAR Reader. We use a program Accelerated Reader that tests the scholars after reading their "just right" book. Each quarter they try to reach the "TOP OF THEIR FLOWER" which pushes and inspires them to read, read, read. This year, with our four computers and one iPad, we were able to accomplish 80% of student achievement. My goal with 4 new iPads and headphones for them to focus on their comprehension test taking skills we will achieve 90-100% of scholar achievement each quarter. We also have started to research during writing block to learn more about the Non Fictional world around us, having the extra sources of internet for more exposure to current events will gain more learning time.
