As of right now I plan to use the Elmo document camera to demonstrate density using different block sizes before asking students to complete a lab on their own. This will also allow them to see the levels of floatation based on density. I also plan to show students how to better analyze reading using active highlighting. Many times my students will highlight every word within a document and miss the main ideas. Being able to show the complete document and highlight the main important facts will not only model highlighting but help them follow along in reading English, a foreign language for most.
