What want them to wonder and inquire. I also want them to understand that to know is to read. Books take you to places that you'd never imagine you'd go. Reading provides opportunities that are endless. iStation is a comprehensive e-learning software that our school district uses to help our students PreK-4 with the skills involved in learning to read. For PreK, it encompasses listen comprehension, vocabulary, and letter knowledge; early skills needed to become good readers. Our school is not afforded a lot of technological luxuries. With three working computers in my classroom, initially it was difficult to get all of my students on iStation, so I advocated for parents to do so at home, which increased my usage tremendously. However, after Hurricane Harvey, quite a few of my families lost a lot, including put not limited to their technology. Although, it doesn't hinder my students' relentless attitudes, the reality is, that resource and those tablets would provide vital support to my instruction.
