We have a very welcoming classroom where we encourage each other and talk about how we feel. My students love reading books and learning about other cultures. Learning about other cultures helps us to understand how others may do things and also how they may feel. This year, we learned about Portugal and we learned how to sing the alphabet in Portuguese. My students also love to explore. Some of our best learning and fun occurs when they get to explore using their hands. Painting, drawing, building, and using manipulatives are just some of the ways I like to engage my students to not only extend their learning but to have fun as well.
