Kids today need movement and choice. I am eager to implement flexible seating in my classroom in order to allow them a relaxed and comfortable learning environment. Students will be able to choose a comfortable area in the room where they feel they can work their best. The best part is students can choose different areas to work in throughout the day. Students will have a variety of seating arrangements they can choose from. Just like every child learns differently, every child has their own preference of how they want to learn. With flexible seating, students choices will range from traditional classroom desks to wobble seats and floor seating. I have seen success with this seating arrangement and I know my students will greatly benefit from having a classroom where they can feel safe and comfortable throughout the course of a school day.
