My students come from a range of skill levels - I teach 8th grade honors English, as well as a Benchmark English class and English learners. At Isaac Fesler Junior High, a majority of students are English learners, and many families are migrant workers. Unfortunately, as Santa Maria grows, a gang problem has also started growing. However, all of the students I have met and had the opportunity to teach at Fesler work hard, have vibrant personalities, and are incredibly intelligent. Each student teaches me every day, and I hope to make a difference for them, so they know how special they are.
