Learning is fun. Kids are active. I don't expect children to just sit at their desks all day. Sometimes we stand. Sometimes we're on the floor. We work together and independently. We move, talk, reflect, sing, wonder, read, write, and create as we learn. We are busy! Active, happy learners- that's who is in my class! My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are English Language Learners; some are not. Some are outgoing, and others are reserved. However, they are all KIDS who have their own personalities and learning styles. A few months ago, I introduced 3 wobble stools and 3 inflatable sensory cushions to the class. I initially ordered them thinking of my students with ADHD, but I quickly found that ALL the kids love having these alternative seats... and, of course, I love having happy students!
