The materials mentioned above will help my students choose where to work independently or during group work without any disturbance. The weighted dog neck pillow is one of my favorites because it allows students to lay done and calm down laying on the pillow or read laying on the pillow full of confidence. The calming area is very important to my classroom because that is where most of my students go to calm themselves down when undergoing any form of anger. It has been a great need for me to equip the area with the right furniture that will enable my students to calm themselves down with less help or prompts. Having preferred chairs in the classroom will make the calming process easier because the students will be able to feel comfortable and soothed.
