In the fall, I will have another split classroom; this time a split of 3rd and 4th grade. This past year, I had a split class of 1st and 2nd graders. My school is in a low socio economic area. The school receives well over 90% free and reduced lunch. Many of my students come from home each and have nothing to eat. The breakfast that the school provides is the first source of nutrition they receive. The students miss out on many of life's experiences and things that most people take for granted. My students are vibrant and full of love. They each have a unique story that I enjoy learning about day by day. I love each and everyone of them from the bottom of my heart.
