These 5 chrome books will open a door for my students to engage in many assignments and activities in the classroom. Right now, I have 3 desktop computers for the students use. With the chrome books, I will have 8 computers. This would give me 2 center stations that deal with technology. With the ever changing ways of society, students need to be fluent in the use of technology. In today's world, all forms of technology are widely used every where. I have found that many students do not know how to type on a keyboard well, so instead of using tablets, where its only touchscreen. The chrome books will allow the ability for the students to practice becoming proficient in typing and more. 4th grade is where the students truly begin researching many topics and learn where and how to find information of given topics. The chrome books will help all of my students become researchers in the classroom and prepare them for the many years of researching online to come. Now that testing is done on computers, having the chrome books in my classroom, my students will be able to practice the skills needed to complete any testing. These chrome books will allow me to differentiate my instruction a little more than just pen and paper. I will be able to decide on certain sites which skills they need to work on the most or challenge the students to higher level skills. There are so many benefits of having a little extra technology in the classroom, as stated above the 5 chrome books will open so many doors for a a better learning experience for all of my students in my first year of teaching.
