As I enter into my second year of teaching, my classroom library currently consists of old guided reading texts and outdated books the previous teacher left behind (probably for a reason). My students this year loved to read - just not what was in my library. My project will be used as a starter set to rebuild the classroom library to something my students will actually want to go to. The set I have chosen includes texts of all genres and reading levels to reach all of my students needs and interests. Students will use these books during our daily independent reading time.
