In order to fully prepare my students for success, I am beginning interactive journals this year for both math and science. I'm rolling into my third year of teaching and have discovered that this is one of the best ways to increase student engagement as well as tracking student learning. These will help students keep track of their own learning with note taking and student friendly entries. Because I use a "teach back" method in my classroom where students learn the information on their own and then report back as a group, it is important for the students to have a source of reference other a worksheet or textbook.
