My students are 4 years old, who come from a low income neighborhood. Many of them live in a hostile environment. Their first language is spanish and they need to have an education on their own language. They are the first generation of american citizens. Even though, they are little ones, they have a lot of dreams that they want to reach through their education. As an educator, I try to teach them that education is the most important decision that will help them to be a professional and be a better person. I create a safe classroom community to encourage them to learn, play, socialize and respect each other as a member of our classroom.
