I teach hardworking bilingual 4th graders. My current project is intended to take advantage of their alternative seating options while writing. Writers work better in a relaxed, collaborative environment. Through the generosity of donors, we have made our classroom much more inviting and creative. I want to continue encouraging students to put their thoughts on paper and get them into the revision and editing process. We are going to be working so hard following the holidays. I will have to find ways to make the lessons engaging and more challenging to push our student performance ahead. The students, as English learners, find the task of reading and writing on grade level much more demanding. I want to create a warm, wel, cozy classroom that fosters student motivation to learn. Part of my vision is to allow students to work in collaboration with their peers using clipboards. Thank you for your help, we are grateful.
