Having a variety of flexible seating options such as comfy floor chairs, wobble stools, and beanbag chairs in my classroom helps maintain a wonderful learning environment for my students. Flexible seating provides them with the flexibility of being able to move while learning at the same time. This helps them refocus on the task they are completing, whether it's in reading stations, math stations, independent work, writing, or in team collaboration activities. I love to instill a successful environment in my classroom of high expectations and flexible choices both for behavior management and academics. I tried flexible seating in my classroom for the first time this school year, and it truly provided a wonderful and productive working environment for my students. Adding these wobble chairs, little beanbag seats, and comfy floor seats to my classroom environment would continue to make it be the very best learning environment for my students.
