Our students will sing in one of the premier jazz festivals in the country. They will receive adjudications from some of the finest artists in the field. And they'll get to hear singers and bands from around the country, along with great professional performers. A festival of this caliber will inspire our students to learn and perform at an even higher level of competency. Our regional high school activities association excludes our auditioned students from performing/competing at regional festivals, which means we need to travel out of our area to learn from and be inspired by other high-caliber school programs. For students from a small arts-focused school, cultural and historical highlights which enrich their understanding of the jazz idiom are invaluable lifetime experiences.
