I am providing a no cost summer school in which we will read The Great Brain books to improve academic language and reading proficiency of ELL students. If each student has a copy of the book, they can each have a character to read in a group setting. By starting them in a series it will spark their interest and get them engaged to continue reading. The supplies will allow them to use their creativity and express their comprehension of scenes in the book. The students will work on reading, notetalking, writing and communication. The Great Brains will use this time to make connections in their school community and build language literacy.

About my class
