My students come to school excited and motivated to learn! However, they face challenges that oftentimes interfere with their ability to perform well in the classroom. Approximately 98% of them qualify for free or reduced lunch, and a significant number of them are English Language Learners. Additionally, a good number of their parents are migrant workers who speak little or no English. As a result of these challenges, many of them are struggling readers and are one or two grade levels below.

About my class
