My students need supplemental activities that will help them strengthen their basic math and reading skills that are holding them back. When they have to spend class time trying to recall their multiplication facts they often fall behind on current lessons. They are at a constant battle of getting caught up. If they had an iPad with math fact games they could take 10 minutes during down time and practice their facts. My students also love to listen to audio books. Having an iPad with audio books would help them follow along in class and be more willing to silent read on a more regular basis.
