With the digital age upon us, students need the ability to type what they are writing. I wish to prepare my students for their future where essays, papers, and tests are computerized. Through this project, students will be able become paperless learners. Students in our school are limited to sharing one chromebook cart amongst 6 classes. Because of this, they often times do not have the opportunity to type what they have written, or must rush to get their work done in the one class period allotted. State testing requires students to type their writing, by providing my students with a chromebook cart, they will be comfortable with the keyboard. Not only will they be comfortable using a computer keyboard, they will be able to work on their time management throughout the year. My goal is to make my writing class paperless by having students type their writing assignments and submitting them to me through Google Docs. It is hard to achieve this goal when one cart of chromebooks has to be shared between 6 teachers. Please help my students achieve this goal through your donations.
