Students perform better in class when they know what to expect and where they belong. Giving young students a defined place to learn during class encourages positive behavior, focus, and security. Promoting positive behavior and security ensures their success. I believe this classroom carpet will encourage student organization and support my efforts to provide students much needed structure during music time. When students come into the music room it gives them great confidence to know exactly where they belong and who they sit by. It is also a great help to me when I am learning new names during the year.
