I have been using three-ring binders with my eighth grade students for the last ten years. We don't use text books, so the binders are used to organize notes and homework assignments. I have seen great improvement in their organization, and the binders help them to be more responsible with their materials. Because we live in such a low socioeconomic area, parents often have difficulties providing these materials for their students. I want my students to have the best, but I cannot afford to purchase everything out of pocket. I am requesting binders for my students. Helping out with my project will not only help me, but it will help my students and their families as well.
