Students will utilize the listening center during the literacy block. It will provide students with a chance to share favorite books, interact with peers, and learn new vocabulary words. It will also be used to aid with writing. Students will listen to a book and then have to write about the book using a prompt. Listening is an important part of learning. With the use of this listening center and the read aloud books, my class will have a wonderful place to listen to books. This will also help many of my students who struggle with reading. Listening to the book and being able to connect it with the text is very beneficial to ESL learners and all students.
