About my class

A listening center would provide my students with more opportunities to be read to in English! Many of my students have parents who speak another language so English is limited at home. This can cause students to struggle when learning English in the classroom. Providing my students with an opportunity to listen to a book would allow all students to build on their knowledge and hear sounds, letters, and words. These materials would provide my students more exposure to English and allow all my students to gain confidence in reading! I hope to challenge my students and provide my students the best opportunities to get the most out of their school day! While my students love books, many struggle to read. Therefore, I think these materials would give my students the opportunity to build their confidence in reading and English!
