The materials I selected will allow my students to optimize their learning by selecting a working space that best suits their learning needs. By providing multiple options to perform at their highest level, they are not only able to make a choice in their learning but are able to find what works best for each individual student. There is no one size fits all in education and my hope is that with these items and your contributions my students can excel this year by finding what works best for them. For example, during reading instruction students are able to "find a spot around the room," by going to a stability ball, inflatable seat, placing a wobble seat on their chair, or lying on a pillow with a clip board. Not all students excel and perform at their best while sitting stationary in a desk. These flexible seating options will allow my students to grow as learners and have a choice in their learning experience.
