My students will benefit from having two composition notebooks because they will be able to develop their English and Spanish vocabulary through word study. They will use these notebooks as interactive word work notebooks. My students enjoy these tasks and are always 100% engaged. While it may seem that students are simply "cutting and gluing paper, they are actually engaged in high levels of reasoning and categorizing words in both Spanish and English. Coming from low-socioeconomic families, my students lack sufficient supplies; this will help them further their language study in a fun engaging way while also teaching them that their language and culture is valued and important.
