When kids are young many of them dream of becoming a superstar in a sport. While that goal may be attainable for some athletes, the percentage of high school players that become professional athletes is rather small. My goal is to help them become the best players they can, but also, help them become as successful as possible in whichever career they choose to pursue. These books will help my students gain knowledge necessary to becoming effective communicators, leaders, and teammates in sports and in life. Not only will the books help my basketball team, they will also help students in the classroom. They will integrate seamlessly with the current curriculum being used in my history classroom. The overall goal is to expose students to books allowing them to have diversity in learning while also improving reading comprehension.
